Magic moments

This week reflecting back on magic moments it would be our very 1st holiday. Although my youngest Lochlainn hadn't been born then, it was my other children's first holiday. it was also a learning experience for our future holidays. We went to butlins at Skegness the last week of July and although we had a lovely time it was far too busy for my oldest son who is in on the autsistic spectrum. So since then we really think our holidays through more thoroughly and so far they have all been perfect!

Magic moments

My most magic moment that was recent was when I was told on Monday at parents evening that my 6 year old Thomas had made massive improvements at school. It felt pretty special to be told that from not being able to count and not being Able to read and that he found letter forming difficult makes me so proud to say that in 3 months he can now do all those things and is putting in such amazing effort. Thomas has had a learning delay and was unable to recognise letters and numbers so he's done amazing to work so hard. Well done Thomas mummy is very proud of you and i Love you lots. Reasons to be cheerful!

My reasons to be cheerful this week are

1. I have 5 beautiful healthy children.

2. I have some great friends.

3. Everyone of my children are making great progress in themselves and are doing so well at school.

Wednesday words

Wednesday fun!

This morning Lochlainn and I had our hair cut! Lockie was amazing! :) he sat as well as he could manage! He loves the big clippers on his head but hates the small trimming clippers as they are noisy! He then went up to bed while I had mine cut. I actually really like my hairdresser. She's so lovely. She has ADHD and is questioning aspergers so we have loads to talk about.

The rest of the afternoon we chilled till the school run.
After school run I had Sofia-mei's parents evening. She's doing amazing! Although her teacher has a few concerns so she will monitor her. So we will see how she goes. She's my baby girl so to me she perfect! Lol

After that we met our friends at the park where we had our weekly hot chocolate and a catchup. Lesley-Anne made all the kids, run round the park at least 10 times to wear them out for bedtime. We was home for 5pm so dinner, bath and bedtime flew by!!! :) xxx

Turnedeo Tuesday

Today has been a weird day with a hyperactive 2 year old that has hardly stopped. We normally have tots on  a Tuesday but I covered the little miracles centre for the day which was good but boy was Lockie monster hard work!
Was hoping the sensory room would help him settle but no it did no good today. He had no interest in the toys, only 1 book that we had to keep reading over and over.  Other than the book the  only interest he had was being destructive!
On the school run he screamed non stop and didn't stop until we got to the hall for our Orton support group I run on a Tuesday after school and he didn't stop there either. Completely destroyed the place and screamed so much a lady who worked there had to come through to see what was going on. I reckon she must of thought I was beating him!!! Lol actually couldn't wait to get home.

On a good point had parents evening for Brayden and Thomas tonight and they are doing amazing in school. Both have made massive improvement. So proud of them. Thomas has had a learning delay but is improving so much that he can now read and write!! A massive well done to my Tom Tom. Brayden who has always struggled at school and last year he was on a part-time time table and back in October he was working mainly outside the classroom as he couldn't cope being around people. Now he is working mainly inside the classroom and is part of the class rather than a spare part. He seems to be part of social groups now and is making progress every day. He's still below for reading and writing but is to for maths!! So well done Brayden. Xxx

Better late than never!!!

Haven't blogged for a while! So here goes....

Got lost in mundane life! What with the endless washing, tidying up and the running around and that's without 5 crazy kids to deal with, some days I barley have time to think! But that's my life and wouldn't have it any other way!

Kids have been back at school for 2 weeks now and are settling back well. Poppy has just joined the schools running club, Thomas is doing amazing in his reading (6 years old and possibly dyslexic) and is improving so much!!! Sofia-mei is coming out of herself so much and is making lots of positive friendships. She's no longer the little girl that would scream at the drop of a hat! Brayden is doing well and is starting meds for ADHD tomorrow so hopefully we will see improvements and my Lockie monster is just my little destructive little whirl wind that although he causes destructiveness, he also brings lots of happiness!

As for mummy, I'm keeping up the running, dieting is not so good but I'm happy in myself. Got some good friendships going on and take each day as it comes. Xxxx
